Now I feel bad, my trailer isn't washed and waxed.:(  It will be good to see you again.:)

4 days until the trip begins.:)

Are we doing a pot luck dinner?

copcarguy

Hey all!

I am not sure if we'll be there Friday night, or Sat...  we WILL be there though.  Things keep changing on this end.  At the very least when you see a red metallic rectangle pulling a white bigger rectangle then you'll know we're there.  :screwy:  Then everyone can watch and comment on my backing in abilities...

If we are going to do a pot-luck, please let us know here so we can be ready...  Or worst case scenario would be that we'll be pulling in at like 3PM Sat.

DiW

Well it figures - Chris dewinterized over the weekend, cleaned out the water system and last night we had frost. As he walked out to the frost covered car windows this morning, I laughed at the absurdity of frost in May, then I remembered the popup... He said "not a problem"

We're still on for Friday, arriving separately. I will wait for Courtney to finish work around 7 or so. Things could change though. Co & J have been sick, and J's neuro problems escalated as a result. He had us all up til 4am with wheezing and severe pain. Double codeine & Benadry finally got him some relief but we may be off to the hospital later if necessary (if he needs morphine & MRIs). Waiting to talk to the dr. Hopefully, it will settle down. Amazing what a simple cold can do to someone.

Washed and wax in the sense that the washing soap also has wax in it... I'm not THAT motiviated  :eyecrazy:

It'll be good to see you again too, T!

Erika and I are prepping for a pot luck, it would be nice if we could make that happen. Otherwise, we look forward to the FIRE GOD performing another feat of incomprehensible combustion ( cue Rick with some matches...)

Safe drives evryone...

Bad news.  My tee shirt guy called today and he will NOT be able to make the shirts in time for the trip. :banghead: They had some problems at work.  Sorry, I should have contacted him earlier.

POT LUCK DINNER???  Should I bring group food or not???  Rick you are the leader of this trek, you need to decide.

3 days and counting.:)

Well, seems J has pneumonia. Hope to get it under control soon. Good thing he's decided he LIKES camping. It'll give him something to look forward to.

copcarguy

Hey all!

POT LUCK:  since things have changed on this end 4,765 times about our arrival time, and the Pot Luck is usually Sat night, and we might get there Sat night, I am not going to volunteer Stephie (without asking her) to make something for a pot luck if we had just pulled in an hour before that.  You guys vote since you'll all be there before we will.  If there is going to be a pot luck, we'll contribute something.  If we knew exactly what time we'd be there we could plan better.  Please don't let me be the deciding person.  This trip is for ALL OF US so if it makes everyone happy to pot luck then by all means let's have one.

Di - sorry to hear about J having pneumonia.  My Dad has been fighting that for over a month.  Scary to see him in bed for over two weeks with no energy and now just barley enough energy to get through the day...  Also, I have been fighting something for about a month now too.  The Dr. says it's "bad allergies" but I have had allergies my entire life and have never been through this stuff.   Can't wait to see you guys, it has been a LONG time since the entire Wade crew has been on a trip with us!

Jaz - I am SO looking forward to a big fire.

Everyone have a safe trip.  It is frustrating me that I can't be there Fri.  I am going to call NL tomorrow and see if I can check in super super early Fri, set-up and then go there after work.

DiW

Well, we'll be lucky if I have healthy kids and the camper gets packed with necessary supplies. It's still stripped and I hate to say, I don't even have any of the stuff gathered yet to put in it (usually I'm much more organized). Am just sending C back to school today and J's still home. I have to work extra time this week to make up for missing the last 2 days so that leaves me no time to pack (or buy stuff). Seems the North lake trip is always our opener.  So, we will probably do something quick and easy for meals - I was hoping we could eat out or order a pizza  :D  BTW, I'm looking forward to a great fire too, Rick. It's been a while.

copcarguy

Di - one of Stephie's traditions is to eat at Selena's Diner over in Tannersville for one night of a NL trip.  (about 5 to 10 mins from NL).  I know they do take out as well if you want to bring the food back to the camper.  We tried the Chinese Food place in town last year and we were sick the next day.  Never found a good pizza place up there.  In fact, the only food that I would recommend is Selenas.

tlhdoc

Ummm, sounds like a no on the pot luck dinner.  How about a pot luck mountain pie and desert get together?:)

:yikes: Pie irons in a roaring fire, you will burn the food and then I will win.;)

See you tomorrow.:)

copcarguy

Are you guys talking about the pie iron apple cake thingies??  Those sound pretty good!

Well the camper is all ready!  I had 4 new tires put on it today.  Not sure if everyone knew but we had a blowout last weekend (with about only 800 miles on the camper).  I called the dealer and the dealer gave me the tire company's phone number.  I called them and I guess they're having a problem with their bias-ply tires, so they sent me FIVE new radial trailer tires.  I also had the propane tanks filled on the way home.  When I got home Dad and I installed a Maxx-Air vent cover.  Then I washed and waxed the camper and put some tire shine on.  She's all ready to go.  I wish I was off tomorrow so I could see you guys on Friday...  I'll be jealous at work knowing you all are camping.

Can't wait to see you all!!
