Wow!  that's a tough sale--in order to get the pop up, you gotta join a pop up club!  Way to go Kim--a new victim...uh,...I mean,... member!!!  ;)  (j/k!!!)

Welcome mamadrum!  We hope that you have many wonderful trips in your new-to-you pop up and that you make as many wonderful friends here as we all have!  Also, don't be afraid to ask questions or post about upcoming trips--there's always someone here with an answer or looking for a camping trip.  Hope to meet you soon! :)

OMG - Have you popped up yet?  I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.  I do hope that you guys can make the trip, I guarantee your family will have fun.  By the way, both Matt & Josh were smitten (sp) with your youngest daughter.  Matt mentioned her today and if you ask Josh about her he gets this cute little smile.  We mentioned Lucy to Sarah tonight at dinner  and she got this big smile and told us that she kissed her.

Just to let you know that I mailed in the DMV paper today took the trailer off of our insurance.

Hope to talk to you soon.

Thanks for the warm welcome!  Actually, we're planning our first trip next week, since our oldest will be out of school.  We're going to San Clemente just for a couple of nights to have a chance to try out our new toy. ;)

I do have a question which folks might help with: we need a few little accessories for our popup -- stuff like Aqua Chem, some leveling blocks, etc.  Can anyone recommend an RV store south of LA?  We're pretty near LAX...

We enjoyed meeting your family, too!  Pamina (our youngest) had fun with your kids and would have loved to stay longer.  Thanks for the reminder about the insurance, too.  --aaron

You might try your nearest Wal-Mart.  They usually have a camping section.  You can also get the lynx levelers here on PUT at the store ( http://www.popuptimes.com/miva/merchant.mv?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=P ) and as a member, you get a discount, which I think is 10%, but check with PUT to be sure.  Isn't there a Mickey Thomp[ason or Giant RV dealer off the 405 Freeway, around Carson?  They might have a store on sight that carries rv/camping items--you maty want to call before you make the drive though.  There is also a Camping World in La Mirada off the 5 Freeway.  This would be my preference and worth the drive for me.  You may think you only need a few little accessories, but once you get in there, you'll be amazed at how much more stuff you really "need"!  :D

Mike Thompsons is in Fountaiin Valley and La Mirada.  I think the RV dealer in Carson is Altmans.  It looks like a pretty good sized place.  I would have to say Camping World or Walmart is your best choice if you need it right away.

Welcome to the SCcampers

I also wanted to let you know about another rally.  It is our shared rally with our sister group (NNC).  It is being held in Pismo Beach the end of June.  Check out the info under the Western 2005 rally forum.  (Sorry I don't know how to cut/paste a link.)

Quote from: cjpoppinThis looks very nice.......Are you sure they let PU's in?  Some of these hot springs places only like the big guys?  We think it would be a fun campout, my poor old body can already feel that warm water.....We live up in the high desert and it sure can get windy in the desert this time of year......but we have camped in some strong winds and so far so good.....Price is right let you know for sure in Jan......carol   :frosty:

I drive by this place all the time - and mind you - strong winds in that area is in the 60 mph range - that is why the windmills are there.
