I park our Coleman Niagara in a shed which is attached to the back of my woodworking shop in the back yard. Backing it in there while trying not to flatten Dear Wife's rose gardens was always a real task. My Son solved the problem by making up a hitch receiver which is bolted to the under side of the front cross member on my Dodge pickup. With the trailer hooked to the front of the truck it is very easy to back it into any tight spot.. I have also used it to back into a tight campsite at night. Without the drawbar the receiver is not noticeable except for a 2x2 in. square hole in the center of the black plastic spoiler under the front bumper.. Has anybody else tried this?......

Reese makes a line of "front" receivers. They are especially popular with the marine set. Keeps the drive wheels as far from the water as possible when launching/retrieving.

Not to mention, like you found out, it's a lot easier to push a RV into tight quarters than back it in.

I had a front end receiver custom made for my 2004 F-150. It worked out just great

Yep - we use it to haul our bikes, too.

Front mounted hitches can also be utilized when not using them for towing...  (or would that be pushing now??)  LOL!  Like was said earlier, putting a bike rack there is a big help but there are many accessories that are available for front mounts such as spare tire carriers, winch mounts, etc...  Click here for a few more ideas:  http://www.etrailer.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=E&Category_Code=FMH  I have seen a front winch mount modified to hold a generator when I was camping in RI.  The guy simply pulled his truck face in and plugged in the camper.  HTH!
