This is the link for the park. There is part of the old town and furnace left in the park. The campground has been completely rebuilt. There are only 51 sites and all but 5 have electric. The sites are very nice. I have pictures of most of the sites.

The park is off of 322 between Lewistown and State College PA.

Anyone is welcome to join us.:)

Tracy,
We have had this CG on the radar scope also for some time, looks like a great place for my little dog and is only a five hour drive for me. That weekend is open for us !

If we don't get there at the same time can you recommend favorite site ? Or any sites to stay away from ? Thanks !

Rick I called the SP reservation system on Friday, but they closed early for the holiday. I will call Monday to see what sites are open. I have pictures of almost all of the sites and the only ones that I really wouldn't want to camp on are the first few that have 50 amp service. The are ok size wise, but are straight off the road. I am thinking that we could group on the sites around the corner at the far end of the campground. If you want any pictures let me know.:)

Looks like we can go and it is a 3 day weekend for my kids.

I took the twenty second off so we will be getting there early.:)

Is anyone else interested in going on this trip??? We are coming down to the final weeks.:)

I'd love to meet up with you guys but it'll be busy right up until that weekend. I'll just be getting back from visiting my mom in FL. Have fun without me.
No fair, I just realized if Rick goes, you'll see his camper before I do

It is a three day weekend for Jeffery also.

Becky, how long does it take you to get there? You are about 2 hours or so from me.  Any travel-construction delays around Harrisburg during daytime hours?

Yeah, I'm thinking. Got to have something for Jeffrey to do. he down loaded to Shannons' Ipod and the neighbors MP3 player all weekend. His PC is in the living room as the neighbor is a teenage girl...no girls in the bedroom.

he wants to go to Assagteague the 29th. Maybe he would want to go here this weekend. I think I'll leave Raymond at home. it is too far for him anyway...

Paula did you find out if Jeffrey can go?

He does not want to. But Raymond said I can  :#  :W

I have off on Friday, now I have to make a reservation!
Any place to put in my kayak?

tlhdoc

Paula there is a small lake at the park, but I don't think there is boating on the lake.  Poe Valley SP isn't too far away and you can put boats in there.  I am going to call the park Friday morning and if my site is open go out then.  I plan to take a nap.:)   There are pictures of the sites in my webshots album.  5 of the sites don't have power, but the rest do.

SheBantam

I called Becky to find out where you all were.
I got site 42, that is the best I could do...but hey, it is right next to the water!!! I can run the hose and see if I leak...got to put the coffee maker/hot water back in the camper, put a jug of water in the freezer...so much to do...so little time...

tlhdoc

Paula I am glad you can make it.  See you on Friday, any idea what time you will get there?

SheBantam

I'll leave here about 9:00, make a stop at Super Walmart in Parksburg.

Mapit is showing me to go up 202 to the turnpike, to 283 to 81 that is 4 hours and 9 minutes

It is more direct and a lot less lights (202 is traffic light city), to go 41 to 10 to 30 to 283 to 81 (10 is a little farther, but a lot less traffic)...of course I could catch 322 at 10 and take it all the way...

I'm so confusedddddd

Paula I emailed you the directions my mapping program came up with.:)
