Quote from: Camping Coxes- Paul is purchasing a hand crank pump (I think he said it's a boating thing) to use to pump water into the holding tanks. He tried using a funnel and pouring it in, and it gets mighty heavy. So we're going to designate a water container for filling the PU from the community faucet and use the hand pump.

Get a Kerosene syphon pump, they are D cell battery operated, and cost all of 5 or 10 bucks.  Give it a go thru with a little bleach water before the first use. They fit to the bottom of those blue suare aquatainers. Drop it in, insert hose to PU tank and turn on...tank is full with no lifting other than maybe setting the jug on a small fold up table.

That's a great tip, Marcy!:#  Where does one buy a kerosene syphon pump?  Do they have them at Wal-Mart?

Last year I dry camped while hunting in Arizona.  It was 12 degrees when we woke up in the morning.  The heater kicked butt in the PU though.

the way my hybrid is laid out...it's too hard to use the little elctric heater..so I use the ducted heat
