It must be great to be you....Prices vary here in SoCal.  I've paid a minimum of $2.39 at ARCO stations, but mostly around $2.49.  I watched some movie a couple of nights ago, I don't remember what it's about or even the name of it.  But I do remember seeing a scene at a gas station and the prices were $1.03 per gallon.  Pretty scary when gas prices are the only reason you remember a movie.

here in the city was 2.78 , but right across the bridge in NJ is 1.99 , so we fill up when we are out that way!

This was a couple of weeks ago in Malibu, Ca. but I have pic that I can't seem to post that show a 76 station with $3.05 for Reg and $3.15 for premium.
Needless to say I don't buy gas there.

$2.219 for regular and $2.439 for diesel where I live in Maine

Kelly

Was up to $2.359 earlier this week near St Paul MN ~ back 'down' to $2.199 now.

My dad is heading back north from Texas this week driving his Class C with a toad.  He's not real happy about how much it's gonna cost him to get home!

San Francisco/Bay Area.  It varies between $ 2.56 and $ 3.15.  It's brutal, but I counter it by biking to work and everywhere else.  I've been bking to work for years, but the gas prices have just reenforced my commitment to biking.  I get the health benefits while getting errands done.

On the flipside, when I go camping, I have to use my TV and it's an '85 GMC Sierra Classic full-size pickup truck with dual tanks and that is one thirsty beast.  So now, I just pick campgrounds that are downhill both ways.

LMAO... Just like when I used to walk to school, uphill both ways.

GeneF

Just got back from Concord, NH and paid $2.08 for regular.

Other stations were in the $2.12 to $2.19 range.

$2.53 for 87 octane yesterday  I have one word about the oil companies.....
(no not that one ;) ) -- profiteering

garym053

I just paid $2.249 here in Vermont.

As an aside, I don't think this is so much "profiteering" driven as it is driven by demand! Not that I think oil companies would do us a favor and turn down profits to give us a break but then neither would any other company do so or any civil employee either. What policeman, fireman, teacher, politician, etc would say, "no, I don't want a raise, property taxes are too high as they are" Darn few. (I, on the other hand, being a Controller in a small ($11 Mil in sales) Hardware store/Lumber yard, took a pay cut last year to help ensure that others within the company would keep their jobs and the company would return to financial health.)

As China and other areas, especially Asia and the surrounding area, become more industrialized and  modernize technologies, this is a tip of the iceberg! Imagine millions of people trading their bicycles for cars!

Just my humble opinion.
