Anyone know of a good source of colapsable large water bladders, about 40 gallons, for dry camping/boondocking?

Camping World has a 40 gallon bladder for $80, which seems steep.  WestMarire has some too, but they don't have baffles to prevent rolling.  I have seen the marine bladders on Ebay, probably the best deal for the buck.

I haven't seen one of those, but I'm curious as to how you are going to lug it around once it is full??  That's a lot of water.

Not sure where you are located but we got a couple of them at the Army Navy store near us.  They are only 20 gallon though and a pain in the @$$ to move around.

About 320 pounds, IIRC... :yikes:

I can't find it now but I saw one that you lay on the roof of your TV and fill it at the CG. When you go back to your site it can then gravity feed into your water tank.

I think it's the same thing as alluded to in the first post.

Boy, that sure seems to be a lot of weight, especially with recent news media blurps about some vehicle roofs maybe not being up to par strength wise. And how would you handle all kind of weight? (just asking!)

I keep a couple of the 7 gal blue water jugs on hand (that I got from Wally-Mart). Since most of the cooking and such is done outside, usually centered around the picnic table, I'll have one of these jugs full right there; and they have a spigot for turning on or off the flow of water. Now it's all I can do to handle one of these jugs full of water so I, too, am wondering about handling the weight of, say, 20 to 40 gallons?

I guess you fill it while it's on your roof!  :yikes:

I was planning on keeping the bladder rolled up under a PU seat when it wasn't being used.  Then unrolling it in back of my SUV with the seats folded down and driving it to the nearest hose bib.

The Camping World model is the one that you put on you roof.  I too questioned the validity of carrying all that weight on the roof of my TV.  I can see it now, a huge concave dent where my TVs roof caved in!

Back at camp I was considering some kind of electric pump, gravity feed, or simply refilled aquatainers at camp to get the water into the PU.  I'm just looking to save on the number of trips to get water if I'm dry camping.
