have a leak

There is a leak from the faucet ...could the o rings be bad? The cabinet was wet and the floor was also wet. My husband flushed out the lines and this happened. We sealed the drain area once before and it isn't that. My dh has the faucet all apart. What could be the problem?? Does it make sense to just buy another and how much are they? We are planning on leaving for the weekend tomorrow morning?

When I purchased my 02 camper last month I had the same problem. I purchased a whole new RV sized drain at Home Depo, with a strainer basket and o-ring/seal for under $5 and changed it in less than 10 min.  That did the trick, dry as a bone now. Good luck

Hi PI,

I am glad you are going camping.  I had a leak under the sink and I needed to tighten the clamps on the water lines.  Have your DH check that.  If it is the faucet, they are not very expensive.  Some people have replaced them with a metal faucet from a hardware store.  Just make sure the spout is low enough that you can close the bunk ends.   Good luck and where are you camping?

We have replaced the entire thing in our Coleman with another one from Coleman.  They are easy enough to replace, and don't cost much.

The original one leaked.  The replacement has worked perfectly for two camping seasons now.

Thank you all for your help. We ended up going to Home Depot and finding another faucet. That did the trick.
thldoc.,we went to Meadowbrook Campground in Phippsburg, Maine. It is in the Bath, Maine area. It was a little soggy in places with all the rain but our site was dry. You can buy lobsters and they will cook them for you right there..Mmmmm.The couple of showers we got didn't affect us either. It was a nice weekend.
That was a good suggestion about the faucet maybe being too high...I would have never thought of that. Luckly, it all worked out.

PI I am glad you had a good trip.  We haven't camped in the area you were in, but we are going to Acadia NP in August.  Any chance of you guys joining us?
