steury lift system

Has anyone worked on a steury lift system and if so is there anyway to fix a minor kink in the center cable chamber ? Is it not worth fixing ? How difficult is it to replace a lift cable system ? I looked at a new Viking lift system and it appears to be almost the same. :confused:
