4th of July camping plans?

Anybody have plans for this weekend? We are trying to find a plce that isn't booked ~ last minute.

We're actually going to stay home and do some chores around the house that we have been putting off due to all of our camping trips!  If you go somewhere, have fun and be safe!

I got us a spot...last minute...at Lilac Oaks Campground in San Diego. We just picked up the new hardsider (OK, Randy picked up the trailer while I just sat at home).
 
I HAVE to go camping this weekend in the new trailer...are you kidding me?!
 
I called about 10 different places the other day trying to find a spot that was open. The only reason I got the spot at Lilac is because someone had just called and canceled their reservation...and I called at just the right moment.
 
Luck us!! Takin the new trailer out for it's maiden voyage! OH YES!
 
Goodluck in your quest for finding a spot this weekend. Maybe you should try a "first come first serve" campground and show up early??

We had plans to camp near Truckee but decided to cancel and stay at home.  We are still trying to get this house painted.  Kendra is gone for 5 weeks so we decided to surprise her and paint her room and decorate it a little.  She will be thrilled.  Maybe she will try harder to keep it neat!  Yeah right, who am I kidding:D

We FINALLY found a site at the KOA in Mariposa. So we will make it a weekend in yosemite :-() I love Yosemite so it should be alot of fun. Maybe I will see a bear this time??? From a distance of course, and just after it has eaten a large meal so it wont be hungry.  :eek: Every body have a fun and safe holiday weekend  :usflag:

OOOOooo Jacqui, I have a secret from Kendra now. Kendra and Kaylee are calling Kyle and Ryan daily to chit chat from Laguna Beach (I think that's where the boys said the girls are). Now I can sing "ha ha ha I know a secret you don't know" whenever she's on the phone. That should sufficiently tick her off for a while ha ha ha.

I think they were at Huntington Beach for the 4th of July fireworks.  The girls are calling the boys?   Oh boy am I in trouble.  I am so glad none of them drive yet.  20 miles is a long way for a teenager to walk:D to see a friend:o .    I better not tell my Randy, he will have a STROKE!!!  We will see Kendra in a week and boy will I have fun with this one.

Yep, they were calling a lot. I had to remind my boys that they have free nights and weekends, but NOT free all day long! ha ha ha. They cut the girls way down on the phone calls at that point. Too funny.
 
As for your Randy having a stroke I don't think he's too worried about much. When I mentioned at Pismo our kids were spending a whole lot of time together he said, "Well, at least I already get along with the in-laws". ha ha ha.

I called Randy at work just now and told him this.  He said thats ok, we live 450 miles away.  I told him she is only 20 miles away right now.  Silence on the line.  He He He.  Then O MY GOD!!  Keep those boys locked in doors.
