IMHO, one of the most under-used parts of the board are the campground review forums.

Just about all of us camp, most in campgrounds.  Telling about the places we camp helps others when making plans/decisions.

Just comparing the number of posts to the number of views makes it clear that a lot of people read the review forums, but not a lot of people post.  Writing a good review isn't difficult, just include:

Name and location of campground (it is very helpful if you include the name and state in the subject).
Phone number (if you have it)
Web site (if they have one)
Including 2-3 pictures doesn't hurt, either.

Give your overall impression (clean/dirty, open/treed, huge sites, packed in, etc).

It is especially important to post if there is a serious drawback, such as being 50 feet from an interstate, or if there is something wonderful, such as a spectacular waterfall in back of your site.

Austin,
This is a good reminder! I am kicking myself about posting no reviews over the years as we have traveled! The strange part--I bring home a written review of each campground for my own use in the future...and never thought about putting them on the board. Duh!

I've written a few reviews over the past couple of years but our webshots page is mostly review pictures of places we've stayed or just driven through to take pictures and get a feel for.  People like and dislike campgrounds for so many reasons I really like to at lease see a place and get an idea.

Bump.

Since the fallm is coming and people are camping less, this is a great time to post a review of the campgrounds you visited this summer.

I know this may be a stupid question, but where do I post for colorado camping sites? I posted in the "west" area (and forgot to include all the info for the sites but tried my best) but I'm not sure if that was right. Should it be in the "northwest" posting area instead? There is nothing to specify the Rocky Mountain region. Just wondering, we plan to camp again in 2 weeks and I'll try to make a better review after that.

Apparently, somebody thought Colorado belonged in the Midwest region.  Beats me.

You can find a list of states (2-letter abbreviation) under each region on the main screen.
