Suezyque is back with a new popup!

Well hello everyone at PUT.  I just heard we are back to a free forum!  YEA.  
I dropped out of the world of popups about 2 years ago. I had to sell my beloved popup due to financial considerations. It just broke my heart. I put a lot of time and love into my old 8ft. Palomino. Well the sun is shining again.......I was just GIVEN an old 1977 Jayco Jay King 12 footer. It's HUGE compared to what I previously owned (which due to the slanted shape of the box gave about 6 feet of walking space inside). Not too bad shape. Needs a womanly touch of course as it still has the old orange/brown decor of the 70's. A few canvas/screen repairs, some new carpet to cover the old ugly linoleum.  Mostly it needs the back end panel replaced due to water damage. The ants have had a hayday inside of that area! I'm hoping my carpenter talented brother can help me out in that area. Any suggestions here on how to go about it would be appreciated. I'm thinking of installing an AC unit there since we have to tear it apart anyhow. Hoping to take our first outing to Hershey Park within the next month.
Looking forward to re-acquainting with old friends and making new ones.

It is so nice to have you back at PUT. I have enjoyed reading your posts in the past . You are a creative person, I am sure you won't have any trouble re-doing your popup.  Congratulations on the new to you popup.

Wow, we were recently asking if anyone had heard from you. So glad things are working out for you. Good luck with "womanizing" your camper. Didn't you do the last one in pink and blue? I think there's a new cg in the Hershey area but I can't remember the name of it. Maybe HersheyGirl, Tracy or copcarguy can help you out as they stayed there last fall.
