Yesterday unleaded was $2.499 at discount stations.  Need to fill Expedition today or tomorrow (30 gal. tank).  May have to go to bank for loan, ha ha.  Also may buy 2005 GMC Yukon tomorrow.  Have reservation for week in Florida at SP in September and week in Great Smoky Mountains NP in October.

DW is retiring on August 31 and we are going to do some traveling (camping) - will just pay what ever the cost.  However I think gas will likely go down soon.  Hope so anyway.

Gas prices dropped here at some stations yesterday from $2.59 down to $2.57 and $2.55.....

Hey all!

Around here (about 1/2 way between NYC and Albany) reg is anywhere from $2.659 to $2.899...  I have not seen it go over $3 a gallon, except in NYC, where on a recent trip down there I saw super at one place was $3.219.  Crazy.  I like to put the "9" at the end of the price because we pay that.  Think about all the .009's worth we all buy every day and I'm sure it is in the gazilions of dollars.  My E-250 cost me a wallet busting $103 to fill up last week.  I have a few gas cans and they were $30 to fill up.  Who would've ever thought filling up a few gas cans would be $30??  With all the vehicles in our family being V8's (except the Explorer, which is V6) AND my 100 mile a day commute, I bought a little '94 Escort on eBay last week.  I have gotten no less than 39mpg with the little car, and tonight's fill up I didn't have the a/c on and got 42 mpg.  Looks like the van will be literally a tow vehicle ONLY at this point.
