Finally have a wedding date...

Last Thanksgiving, future S-I-L proposed to DD just before dinner.  Down on one knee and all the rest.  We all knew what he was planning, but she had no idea.  She said yes. :#

Well, he had to enlist in the Marines :U despite our trying to talk him out of it. :banghead:  DD said she always knew he wanted that, and that it would be wrong for her to try to hold him back.  One of the wisest things I've heard her say.

Well, training is done, he's at his permanent station, and he's now scheduled for a special trip to the desert in November or December.  Since he's leaving, they now want to get married ASAP.

The wedding is September 23, and chaos has reigned supreme for about three days. :eyecrazy: :yikes: :screwy:

We're leaving for PA tomorrow AM for a week (it's been planned for a long time).  I was promised we wouldn't bring wedding planning with us.  Of course, the exceptions are already starting to form a list. :swear:

So if you hear a head or brain explode in the next week in eastern PA, it's me.

P.S. I have a former client (a direct competitior of my current client  :yikes: ) who wants me to do some emergency work for them ASAP.  I am suggesting I could do it on the trip while they plan the wedding.

Congratulations!

A nice wedding can be planned.  My DH and I met in Feb. He proposed in June, we got married in Aug.  Let me see I think that was 25 years ago the 9th of this month.  Yeah that's right. :#  Forgot to mention he was a Marine also.  Marine's are the BEST in my book.
