Great pics..can you tell me how and what the PVC pipe in the gutter works/does. Looks like a great idea to keep the canvas somewhat drier

That's EXACTLY what it does!   The water from the a/c runs to the gutter then out the pipe.  It's just an extension to help keep the tenting dry!
