What do you routinely do for food when you camp?

OC Campers

We enjoy dutch oven cooking when we are in a rally setting (just too much food otherwise)  But otherwise we will bbq and grill every night.

Treats made in pie irons are part of our camping tradition. We first heard
about them here, in Pop Up Times.

All of the above.

We mostly dry camp in fairly remote areas, sometimes the nearest restaurant, fast food or other is many miles away! Grill/BBQ 80% of the time, Dutch Oven 15% of the time, other for the other 5%!

However, the 2 or 3 times a year we camp at Wells, Maine, it's Billy's Chowder House every night for dinner!!!

the only time I've done "inside cooking" was during a bad rainstorm a couple of years ago.  For us, it's "mostly" cooking on the grill. I have a dutch oven, but for two of us it's just simply too much food.  I've done crock pot meals on a couple of long trips when we actually had electricity...was nice to come back to the PU after a long day hiking and have a hot dinner cooked and waiting!  (warning...don't do this in bear country! :yikes: the smell is divine!)     At a Thousand Trails campground we go to a couple of times a year we do most of our breakfasts at their cafe.  It's great food, it's cheap, and it lets us get our day started quicker.  But...still, mostly we cook on the grill.

All of the above except for inside cooking.  I think I have only done this once since getting the camper in 2001.

We mostly cook on the grill while camping. Though we do live dangerous and cook exotic camping meals from time to time.

We like cooking on the grill when we camp. I  like using cajun spice on my chicken and steaks, it really bring out a nice flavor that cant be beat........Ed C.  :sombraro:

I voted DO and inside cooking.  We don't cook inside, I interpreted the catagory to be type of food we cook on a stove outside.

For the empty nesters, an 8" DO works great when it's dinner for two.
