Went to the dealer and they sold me 2 bottles of AF and the hand pump to do it. I've been reading about NOT putting AF thru the water pump. So before I go and do something I shouldn't, anyone out there with advice on doing this correctly? I could pay them to do it but for $75 + materials I'm sure I can save it and by asking here.

Thanks in advance!

DON"T PAY THEM!!!  It is not hard to do.  Where did you read that you should not put antifreeze through your pump?  I know that one of the hand pumps says not to use antifreeze in it, but I am guessing that you have an electric pump and that you can use antifreeze in it.

Here are the steps to winterizing your potty.

Open the valves under your trailer for the fresh water tank and water heater (2 valves).  Drain all of the water out that you can.  Then you need to bypass the water heater.  Is there a permanent bypass installed?  If you have a permanent bypass there will be two handles and an extra hose connecting the handles, on the input and out put of the water heater.  Turn both handles and that prevents water/antifreeze from entering the water heater.  If you don't have a permanent bypass (like me) you will need and should have a bypass hose.  First unscrew the two water lines from the water heater.  You don't need any tools to do this.  The fittings are made to unscrew by hand.  Make sure the rubber washer comes off of the water heater and are in the  fittings on the end of the water lines.  Next screw the water lines onto the bypass hose (it is a short hose shaped like this [ ).  Next go to your city water connection and attach the end of the pump to the fitting.  Put the other end of the hose into your jug of antifreeze.  Open one faucet at a time and pump the antifreeze through all of the water lines.   After all of the lines are full of the pink stuff pour a cup of antifreeze down each drain, so that any water in the plumbing traps is removed.  Now your campers water lines are winterized.  It only takes a few minutes to do it.  You can add antifreeze to your fresh water tank, but if you leave the valve open and drain as much water out of the tank, as you can.  The water left in the tank will not do any damage.  Also if you tow with the holding tank water valve open, the water in the tank tends to bounce out of the tank and your tank will be dry.:)
