I am a newbe to the pop-up thing and to this site. Sorry if this is
a silly question.

We bought a 1994 Jayco pu ,the side of it says "Jay 8 designer
series" but I don't see a model number like 1008 1208 or 1406 ect.
Can some explain what these numbers mean. Here is what I can tell
you about ours, 1994 Jay 8 designer series, box measure about 15ft,
3 way fridge, heater, stove, add a room. It also has 2 axels.

Any help would be appreciated, I need to order parts and the first
thing I need to know is the model number.

Thanks

Your trailer is a 14' foot box. It's been called various names over the years. Cardinal was the early name. Then the Jay series and 1406 and 1408 depending on the floor plan. Ones with a slide out were called 1406SO or 1408SO depending on the floor plan.

Jayco PU's with number used the last 2 digits to designate the sleeping spaces and the front digit or digits to give the box length.

I stand corrected. There are also 1407 versions as well; as a friend with one informed me. LOL
