Hi Fellow Cheese Heads,

I'm a fellow cheesehead from Racine, who is now living in Las Vegas, Nv.
My heart will always be in Wisconsin. Have any of you from WI. had Kringle from
O & H Bakery. We just got 3 of them my dad sent, 2 pecan and 1 turtle, man we are savoring these kringles.  O & H makes the best!!!!!! Here in Vegas we dont have the greenery like WI. so we go to Utah and camp with our new PU. I do miss home, but it's hard to make a good living there.............Ed C.

Oh yummy!  I was gonna say it's a Scandahoovian thing!  A Kringle is a Danish danish!  LOL  (There are Norwegian Kringles, too)

Kringles are a pastry that can be stuffed with all sorts of goodies!  Best ones are apple or pecan, IMHO.  The dough is light and layered (similar to phyllo dough) and the filling is usually layered with lots of butter & brown sugar.  Makes a great brunch treat.

Lots of good information here.

Now I'm off for a snack!   ;)

btw ~ Larry, I didn't realize you were "... a So Cal girl--born and bred"  :J

Not to worry, fellow SoCal person!!  If you want really good Kringle, a Danish Danish, go to any bakery in Solvang.  There you will experience real Danish Danish!
