What years did these have roof problems?   My understanding is that original owners can get this fixed under factory warranty?    Going to look at a 1999 Bayside tomorrow.    Anything special should look out for in this brand/model?

They had problems with all of the ABS roofs.  More problems with the older roofs, but every year of ABS did have problems.  I have a 1999 and had the roof replaced a few years ago.  What you need to look for are sagging, take a string along.  Have the roof cranked up just a few inches and hold the sting on the top of the roof, front to back, and see how much of a gap there is between the roof and the string.  If it is over 1/2 an inch I would worry.  I think Fleetwood requires 3/4 of an inch to replace it.  Also look for the roof bowing out over the sides, my roof did that.  The seal was just barley touching the sides of the box when the roof was down.  Blisters and cracking are also a problem with the ABS roof.  Now that I have said all of this, I wish I still had an ABS roof.  I really liked it better than my current alumitite roof.  Don't be afraid of the ABS roof, but look it over very carefully and if it looks like the roof is failing have the owner replace it before you buy it.:)

A 1999 Bayside would have come standard with an ABS roof.
