We are looking for new areas to camp at, so what is your favorite campground and area to camp?  What do you do when you are there?  What is the campground like?:)

If you're onto canoeing at all, Woodland Acres in Brownfield, Maine is nice.

We were there a few years ago near the end of May.  We rented canoes, had them take us upstream, and generally drifted (but you can paddle your way down if you like) the Saco river back to the campground.  This is a non-whitewater river.  From the river, there are a couple lakes you can enter and explore.  Bring plenty of top-quality bug repellent in the spring.

It's within day-trip distance of North Conway, New Hampshire and the western part of the White Mountains, and with southern costal Maine.

It might be a two-day drive from Pennsylvania.
