My Wife and I are New to the PU life style. We only recently bought our first PU.
We have always loved camping and fishing, and always used a tent. We haven't done any of this for 4 years, because of the births of our 2 girls. We wanted to wait till we thought they were old enough. My oldest is 4 and the baby just turned 3 Oct. 26. Now it's time, so we bought the PU for a little comfort. We're in our early 40's and I have to tell you its hard to move after sleeping on the ground in a sleeping bag all nite. My question is we want to see about maybe joining a club and getting out with the PU and meeting New People and seeing some of the interesting places i read about in this forum. Everyone seems so friendly and helpful to one another. We live here in Las Vegas, and would like to know if there is a club here, or any club that might have us. Thanks !!!!!  Edl

Welcome to the Pop Up Lifestyle! You are going to create so many great memories for your family on your grand adventures. So enough sounding like a travel commercial! As far as joining a club..........just come to any of the campouts! It's that easy. Go to the club forum, find one in your neigborhood, go to one in an area you want to visit, and/or start one of your own. We've been to many, and even though we've moved to the darkside, we are always made to feel welcome and totally enjoy our time. Goog luck and Good Camping,
Cheryl

WEll, just by posting, you are in......this wonderful group of people are from everywhere.  Find a group near you and join in.  Lots of fun.  If there are any concerns, questions....whatever, you'll find someone in Pop up Times to answer your questions....there is someone out there who has already gone through WHATEVER you are thinking...even if you think it's really stupid.....Just post your question or concern and you will receive an answer right away.  It truly is amazing.  Going camping?...post where you are going and I bet you'll have a group ready to go with you.  Some of our rallies are huge and others are small but always have a good time!  I've been on rallies where I send the check to someone and they take care of reservations to the rally I wagon master where it's a "self serve" and everyone makes their own reservations.  We usually have a couple of potlucks, games, crafts...you'd be suprised how people come together to make wonderful memories.  I always go away wanting more.  Read the postings for the rallies and see what people do.  Good luck and have fun.

Welcome aboard!

Your story sounds like mine, except I had not been camping in 12 years, not four! I introduced my 4 and 5 year old's to camping with a PU last year.

After over a year of many great campouts with the family, I finally met up with a club, SCCAMPERS last month for their 3rd Annual Trick or Treat in Temecula.

The kids had a blast!

So, just find a local club and go.
