Hello!
We are embarking on our first long road trip in our newly aquired PU.  The PUT message boards have been a great help.  I do have a specific question: 2 weeks ago we drained the water from our holding tank after a "test camp" outing and then closed the drain spout.  This Friday we are heading out and will fill the water tank once we arrive at our first stop.  Do we need to do any additional sanitizing before we fill again?  It seems odd that some moisture has been in the tank for over a week possibly growing slimy things....
Thank you for all the advice and help  :D

We drain before we leave the campground.  We leave a little of water in the tank and add a cap of bleach.  sloshing home seems to keep the tank pretty clean.  Rinse out before you leave for next trip....or we just leave it and fill it up.  We don't use our tank for drinking.

Was your water system sanitized before you used it the first time (including the water heater if you have one)?  If so it should be OK for a few weeks.  If you leave it for a few months, you should resanitize the tank.:)
