Change the question (new game)

This game is a bit more complicated than some of the others, because you have to go back and change your question - which means you have to go back and read how others have changed their questions.

It works best with open-ended questions.

First, you truthfully answer the previous question.  Then you ask a new question.  When someone answers that question, you go back, edit your post, and change one or two words in the question in a way that makes the answer embarrasing, funny, or just plain silly.

For example, I might start by asking "What's the oldest living person you know?"

Someone answers "My grandmother.  She's still able to get around, and always has milk and fresh-baked cookies for the kids and um, adult beverages for us grown-ups.  In the summer, we drink cool-aid by her pool."

I then go back and change the question to "What's the meanest old person you know?"

The answer stays "My grandmother.  She's still able to get around, and always has milk and fresh-baked cookies for the kids and um, adult beverages for us grown-ups.  In the summer, we drink cool-aid by her pool."

A few rules:
You can't change your answer once the question has been changed.
You can only change the question once.
Simply changing "least" to "most," "best" to "worst," "oldest" to "newest," etc. is considered a weak change and is frowned upon.
The answer must make some kind of sense with the new question.
Don't quote the original question in the reply (that would defeat the whole purpose).

One other thing...long, meaningful answers make it a real challenge to the person who asked the original question to come up with a meaningful new question.

I'll go first.

What kind of things do you do to stay warm in the winter?

Austin

OK, I'll bite - even though I'm a little vague on the instructions...  And only
'cuz I don't know how to write 100 in Zoom!

I wear long underwear, soak my feet in warm water tubs and ingest plenty of cocoa.  That, and sleep between two dogs!

Zoom is how to write 100 in Zoom, 101 will also be zoom.:)

Chisholm you need to ask a question too, or is that what you did with the zoom?

ChisholmTrail-er

It's getting clearer to me now.

My Question:  Why are Harrison Ford or Gerald Ford better ski companions than Chevy Chase?

AustinBoston

They aren't better.  I believe Chevy's get better mileage, tow better, are more stable, and last longer.  In addition, I've never been able to feel comfortable in a Ford.

(Chis-Trail: now you edit your post and change your question.)

My question:  Why would anyone actually want to visit the Caribbean in winter?

Austin

tlhdoc

Because they are nuts. Who else would go out in the cold, snow, wind and risk their life to climb a mountain.

Who is your favorite person to be an arsonist with?

AustinBoston

<>>

PJay, my DW of over 23 years.  We especially like fall evenings by the fire.

Are all football players the same, and why?

Austin

ChisholmTrail-er

<<<heh heh heh - yep, AB, I think I got it...>>>

No. the're not.  Some have integrity, common-sense values and won't sell out for a buck.  And there are males and females!!

Is there anything better on TV than PBS's ballet lessons?

AustinBoston

I never watch college football, so anything is better, even pro football, which I do watch.

Is there anyone who can help the Vikings this year?

Austin

tlhdoc

Yes, anyone with a big enough check book can buy one or two of them off and then the Colts will loose.

How far did you drive to avoid the police?

AustinBoston

<>

We've driven all over the place.  When we lived in New England, we normally ranged from New Brunswick and P.E.I. to Virginia, and took one trip clear across the coutnry and back (with lots of wanderings in between).  In fact, that long trip was over 13,000 miles.  That's a lot of driving just to find a place to camp!

Do you have a consuming obsession, and what strange things does it make you do?

My favorite food is chicken. There are so many ways you can prepare it. Boil, bake, fry, stir fry, grilled, in taco's, shepherds pie, pot pie, with gravy over waffels...I could go on and on about how many ways you can cook chicken and it is good for you too.

Where was the first place you camped as a homeless person?

brainpause

The first place was at a dry camping ground under a narrow highway bridge. I was in my little kids tent (at 6' tall) with a hyper mutt. Didn't sleep much. Helicopters flew over all night long, because I was near Fort Campbell Army base.

What did you get into trouble for doing when you first went to prison?

...

ChisholmTrail-er

Flapjacks -- they didn't work out well, because I couldn't get the heat right to avoid burning 90% of the product!

What are the benefits of living near the peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro?
