Details, Details, details,
Boy you are a pushy group!!

Well, after a bit of juggling and re-scheduling, we finally agreed on last weekend as the date for our turn to do the RV Roadtrips show. We were a bit apprehensive about doing the show, and to appear in front of a camera, but after reading Tracy and David

Quote from: griffsmomDoes anyone involved with the show have any new info on when it will be airing?  Also, did they send you videos of your show?  if so, we should all get together at someone's house and have an exclusive premiere showing and party for our "celebrities!"

too late to read 6quigs reply :eyecrazy:  catch that around noon today....but I was told airing in June and they will not give us a copy until after it airs

Dee4j

Kevin....cool pics  when we went we toured the grand canyon and they followed us with the camera...people kept looking at us wondering who we were and why we were being filmed...we don't get DIY so I'm hoping to find someone who can tape the whole series...

6Quigs

Yes, we don't get the DIY network either, but I believe Jacqui does, so she can tape it for everyone! ;)

If we upgrade to Digital Cable, which we did look at doing in the past, we would get the DIy network, so maybe just before the series starts we just might upgrade. Of course that would mean I would also have to get that 42" flat panel HD television I was looking at last week!!

we have Dish network the cheapo basic package ..when I looked into it we would have to upgrade to the Highest package to get it... I've talked to Beth at DIY a couple of times...I'm trying to talk them into letting me "buy" the series

maybe with my charm, whit and good looks (ok maybe not my good looks ) I'm hoping they will give it to me...hey doesn't hurt to try

griffsmom

We have the DIY network and Dave has some sort of DVD hard drive thingy that saves programs to its hard drive. We could tape it (download it?? I don't know the correct term for it--whatever!!) and then have a viewing party as long as I don't have to clean house and everyone promises not to look at my 13-year-old, wicked-ugly carpeting! (Dave's going to kill me for that one!!)

Well the schedule is out, and RV ROADTRIPS is set to air the first show on Friday June 2nd at 10:00pm.

Not sure what order they are going to air the shows, but if they stick to the numbers, #103, Grand Canyon with "Mrs. Fortier" is on June 16th, #108 July 21 is Tracy and David, and we will be on August 11th WITH #111

For a description of each show see

Get this,
We just got rid of Comcast Cable because they did not carry the DIY network, and have just signed up for Direct TV dish. as they have teh DIY Network.

Turns out we will be in Florida on vacation on August 11th, so we will have to find a bar or somewhere where we can reserve a room to watch it. There'll be a total of 15 of us as we are meeting up with relatives over there.

Hey, Friday June 2nd we will be camping in Oceanside.  Dee, if you can bring your satellite dish we can watch the first show at the CG.

Yes Lori, it is called either TiVo, or DVR.  We have that as well and will record all the shows in the series.

after the show airs they will give me my episode...I'm going to try to talk them out of the whole series.  I don't get DIY network. it's only available on the top package for a zillion $$$ a month

Brian I would love you (more than I already do  ;) )if you taped all of them and made me a copy

TheViking

A viewing party would be fun!!!  We promise not to make fun of anybody's carpet. (unless it's pink or some other funky color in which all promises are off) I called dish network today to find out what package I have to upgrade to get DIY. It's going to cost a little extra $$ but worth it. We want to watch them all. Now if June would hurry up and get here- I want to go camping!!

Camping Coxes

We had DirecTV since they first came to CA.  We got it on E-bay when that was new too for $9.95.  Paul installed it and we loved it.  We got a salesman who came buy at the right time and offered us a better dealf or Dish, so we changed.  Immediately realized we made a mistake and wanted to go back -- but they were going to charge us for the "free" installation if we cancelled it to the tune of $300, plus the installer threw our dish on the ground and broke it!  We owned that dish!!!!!  So we have Dish and I've said as soon as my 1 year contract is up, I'm outta here -- I have the date marked in my datebook!  BUT now I'm used to Dish so I may stay.  But one gripe I have, they give free movie channel previews every so often and you cannot block them out or have them not show.  Which means at, oh, 7:00 PM our time, you're getting the "All Porn All The Time" on your channels that your kids can flip to unaware.  Plus, there's a reason I don't have HBO and Showtime, etc. -- if I don't want my kids seeing some oft hose movies in the theater, I surely don't want it available in my home!!!!
