Hi Everyone -

My brother and I just launched a new Campground and RV Park reviews site at http://www.campgroundreport.com
We would love to receive comments on the site. Plus, we are giving away a $50 Camping World gift card right now - submit a review and you are entered into the drawing. Check it out!

And please forgive me if this is considered advertising. I wasn't sure when reading the posting guidelines since we aren't selling anything.

The link does not work so I don't think it can be considered advertising yet.
I think it has one too many forward slashes in it.

Very nice site.  This is a welcome addition to the web.  Just a suggestion:  There are four reviews for my area, and I read three of them.  They are pretty sparse on information and description.  "Nice campground" doesn't tell me much.  Maybe in your page for typing the review you can suggest some of the things they may want to cover:

Were the sites close together or roomy?
Were the bathrooms clean and easily accessible?
What activities in the area in addition to the campground?
Any special equipment or warnings you should know before going?
Are all types of campers welcome, or only big RVs, only tents, etc.?
Was it a family type atmosphere or a party crew atmosphere?

So I've done my review.  Will I be sent an E-mail regarding the gift certificate?  And is it one per person, because I've got a lot to say and I can review more!

Note: a review only gets you a chance in the lottery for the one and only certificate. When all else fails read the directions.  LOL

Oh, rats!   Oh, well.  If I can help one fellow American Camper have a more wonderful time in Lake Tahoe, my mission here is accomplished!  (I'm even making myself sick here!)

It looks like a nice site.  The flowed nicely and was easy to surf.  I did post a report on it.

One issue that might happen as it grows, is it will become difficult to find a campsite in a specific area of the state.  It is great to be able to filter campgrounds by state but as you get more and more campgrounds listed in each state, it might be nice to filter by like city, county, location, etc.  Otherwise, the reader will need to look through what could be hundreds of campgrounds per state to find one they are looking for.

Just a thought.  Nice site though  :) .

Looks like a pretty good site.  I did e-mail with some suggestions to consider.  These might help searches a little.  But over all, I liked it.

due to the hour I just visited briefly but plan on taking a better look soon....what I've seen looks good. I visit a site called campgroundreviews.com  I like the way yours is organized and the additional links...I find this very helpful as when you look at campsite websites the alway make it sound spectacular..have the perfect pics posted.. but come to find out they don't mention the train that passes thru your site, the airport or that the bathrooms are gross

jawilson

Is that for private parks only, or can you post something for state and national ones too?

stevecamper

Just wanted to thank everyone for their comments so far. Much appreciated. And please keep them coming!

* The suggestions for people submitting reviews are great.

* Right now the reviews for each state are sorted by city name, but we are working on other search methods which will become important as we receive more reviews.

* We have both private and public campgrounds reviewed and welcome both.

* We are also working on the ability to add pictures to your reviews

And a special thank you to everyone that sent in a review.  You receive one entry into the drawing for each and every review you submit (not one entry per person).

Great Website!  I will start posting my comments.  The most important thing of all are "Clean Bathrooms!"   My wife can't stand seeing bugs in the bathrooms. All bugs including daddy long-legs count!  We stayed at the Indiana Dunes State Park and the cleaning lady refused to kill/get rid if them!!!!!!   Bathrooms that have them are going to get a low score!  Likewise, ones with clean bathrooms are going to get a high score!  When the wife is happy, I am happy  :)
