Just bought a 1976 Starcraft PU. It's in very good condition. The only thing that needs repair is the plastic strips that go on the back of the curtains on the bunk ends. Making new curtains, can't handle the lime green ones it has now,LOL. I have the strips on the old ones, but some of the tabs is broken or missing. Does anyone know where i can find them, or any sugestions of a substitute fix. Thanks

I am not sure what the tabs look like, but some people have used small buttons to replace curtain tabs.  A RV dealer should have replacement tabs too.  Good luck with the curtains.  I don't blame you for wanting to change them.:)

Believe it or not any good fabric store will have the tabs. Both individually and already on plastic tape. Take one in with you as there are several sizes.
I've also had good luck using buttons for replacing the tabs. Just get ones that fit in the track without pulling out. We've found they slide a lot easier than the tabs.

I replaced my faded rust colored ones in my '98 Sun Ridge and was not able to salvage the clips on the sides, only the ones on the bunks.  I found that Camping World had them.  They sold them as a set -- the part that goes in the sliding bar attached to the pop-up, and the side that you sew onto the curtains themselves.  Take your curtains and the part that attaches to the wall and try to match them up to what your local Camping World has.

Thank you all so much for the sugestions. Never thought of buttons. Again thanks for the help.

Hi, I just bought a 1980 Starcraft, with a lovely orange plaid interior.  Im going to do new curtains also.  How did you do with yours?  I wish we could just use shades but I don't think those will work so good in a pop-up.  Any other update ideas you have would be appreciated.

Enjoy your camping.

I know that here on Long Island, all the RV dealers I've been to sell those tabs. It was just a couple of bucks for a small bag of them. alan

I have some extra plastic strips if you want.  I just bought a 1986 Coachman pop up and it is in good condition.  I was going to make curtains but opted to make colorful patches.

I'm not sure if Starcraft has the same set up but I lost some hooks on a Fleetwood popup and got more at the dealer.  They sold me a lunch bag full for $1.25.

DW made new curtains for our 01 Niagara two years ago and was able to find the new clips at our Fleetwood dealer and also at a large fabric store...She used a dark green fabric which is heavier than the originals and was on sale for a dollar a yard..She put a white sun blocker [$3.00/ yd.] on the outsides of the curtains....All new curtains are a bit longer and the curtains at the bunk ends have no openings at the top.. Their heavier material has made a big difference in the  interior tempatures..Trailer is definitely warmer in winter and cooler in summer with the AC. If you are thinking about making new curtains, consider using a heavier material, it will be well worth it....
DW also made  new valances using a bright flowery material and this really makes the curtains look great. Everybody who sees them likes them......

Hello All,
I am totally new to all this. I still yet to buy my first pop up. but I do have an idea. try double sided velcro sew the smooth side on your curtains and the hard like pokie side tape it to the exisiting rod and i think it would be easier to get them down to wash. Like i said I am totally a newbie but i think it would work.
