Tim, if you search for your site directly they have it 63 times back into 2001.

I looked at a few different months and years, the message board messages came up sometimes. Wonder how much space it takes to store all that stuff. I checked a few different websites....

I wonder what the legalities of this are...this site has always had a copyright notice.  You can't just copy it and use it any way you'd like.

Yep, ther it is, right on the bottom..."

Didn't take long to find a post with this in it:

"This post may be Copyright

Jeffrey

Here is their answer to that question.........

"Internet Archive uses the exclusion policy intended for use by both academic and non-academic digital repositories and archivists."

GeneF

Had to laugh a little.  I noticed that those infamous little popups were there.

Darn, I couldn't log onto Fireside chat.  Lots of fun memories there.

They have ads in the displays.  That makes it a commercial use and therefore forbids the exclusion.

I'm not going to defend them, just thought it was interesting and that's just what it says, there is also a link for more info.

IMPO.... They been doing it for 10 years, storing alot bigger sites than PUT. So it must be legally acceptable. I don't think it's much different than archiving old newspapers for the public to look up. Those also have ads.

It does say they will remove anything, if the owner doesn't want it stored. There is a message board there too if anyone wants to debate it's legality.

Edit.... Just noticed this at the bottom of the main page........

Looks to me that someone needs a camping fix! :)

It was fun flipping thru the old pages, as incomplete as they are.

I agree with Gene, Fireside was fun many memories there as well as late nights.

Charlie, do you think you can find your poem in there somewhere?  That would be cool.

Even though it was a short time ago, life was so different.

To steal a line from a (copy righted) Warren Zevon song; Send lawyers, guns and money... The (deleted) has hit the fan.

And one from the Police (band, that is) Too much information, runnin' 'round my brain. Too much information, drivin' me insane.

Have a great day.

Bob

Now, are they gonna come after me?
Can't get blood from a turnip.
