I have a 95 coleman with a few small swelling spots that are rusting through. I was thinking if a coating like the spray in truck liners would work on this type of top. It is still in too good of condition to replace yet and the coating would seal it and keep the spots from getting worse. Anyone try this yet?

Two things to do before you decide.
#1 check the weight of the coating. It ain't light and you only have 150 pounds to play with, maximum.
#2 Do a check on the sides, find a few soft spots and anything you do to the roof will be only a really temperary fix. Soft spots mean rotten wood and the extra weight will cause even more problems.

Also make sure you dry out the core roof materail before doing any sealing. Any moisture trapped by the coating will migrate over time and will cause dry rot in the side boards.
