We Got Snow

We had approximately 5" of the stuff last night.  Snow day and everything for the kiddos!  It was in the 50s the last couple days.  Man I hate it when this happens!   :p [/FONT]

Lucky kids.  DS is in Anoka-Hennepin ISD 11, which has not closed school for snow since the Halloween blizzard...that was over 10 years ago.

My normal 35 minute commute took 2 hours and 35 minutes this AM...I had icicles hanging from my mirrors by the time I arrived.

Oh No you can't be complaining about a long commute to us here in California!!!! We can beaten when it comes to snowfall, but we are the undisputed Loooooong commute champions. A 35 min. drive here typically takes 2 hours.   LOL

Saturday, here in Sacramento, was such a nice, sunny & relatively warm day.

Went shopping - brought home a truck full of trees from Costco to plant.

When I got home at 5, in my shorts & tank top, my friend met me at about the same time, and we had a snowball fight with the kid across the street  :yikes:

(what I failed to mention, was my friend had driven down from the mountains, in a pickup truck... which was still packed with snow when he got to my sunny, warm house!)

Don't see what all the fuss is all about.  We don't even bother to brush that off the car.  The wind at 20 mph will do it for us.  It's not even enough to bother engaging 4 wheel drive.

My work commute is about 6 miles in 7 minutes.  I can ride it on my bike (bicycle, not Harley) in warmer weather.  We don't have traffic jams, we have traffic jellies.  Rush hour lasts for about 1 cycle of the light sometime between 4:30 and 6:00.  Hard to tell when it'll happen.  Most of the time I miss it.

Lori ~ hit us kind of hard too.  My commuted wasn't anywhere near as bad as Austin's tho.  Only 15 minutes longer.  Course I didn't start til noon and the main roads were plowed by then.

 Great pic---reminds me of the storm we had about a month ago---my 4x4 got a great workout with that storm:frosty:...we've got 6-8 predicted for Thursday...and I'm working out of town!!!:-():!
