I just got back from paying a visit to PeeWee the Kiwi.

She is wintering very nicely in her shed.  Looks like she didn't have any furry critters taking up residence.

Hard part, is now I want to go camping and first trip isn't until June.

Now retirement is nice, but not working seems to make the time to go camping go just a little slower.

Be filling the time with planning trips, 4 so far, and getting the fishing stuff ready.

She gets a pat from me every single day, Gene ... and hugs several times a week from DD3   :D

Unfortunately she is parked door-to-the-wall and I can't get inside.  I have a small pile of new toys for her in the corner of the living room ~ Coleman Hot Water on Demand, Bunkend covers, Heaters and a toaster!

Also filling the time planning trips, etc.  Have reservations at 2 places and plans for 2 others ... not much longer til the season begins!

Our new (used) pu has taken up residence in our garage. I visit her on a regular basis. She is eager to explore new teritory this summer. Along with a few new toys. Reservations have already been maDE. :D

Towed our from the backyard to the front driveway just yesterday.  It was a great feeling to have it hitched again.  We've got reservations for 3 trips and plans for at least that many more in the works.

Well......we washed ours yesterday and will start packing it tomorrow. We head out Friday :AM for San Simeon SP :-() . This is the last warning to stay off of Highway 1 on friday :J

HMMMMMMMMM!! I feel like I'm forgetting something  .........Got the firewood, coffee, wine, cork screw, steaks, potatoes........I guess we're ready :! .

We took ours camping in February and are down to only 22 days until our next trip.  I just wish it would warm up so I can do some spring cleaning.  I have towed her 240 miles so are this year.:)

Visit? Heck, I can't open the Exploder's door without hitting it!!:banghead:

Haven't opened it up yet, due to the high winds we're experiencing here recently. But the tires and the awning bag have weathered the winter nicely, thank you....

30+ days to the first trip.....that reminds me, I gotta go stock up on beer.....:!:-():W

We see our baby several times a day, because it sits in the garage and we go in and out of the house through the garage........

I don't have room at home. I keep the trailer where I work so I look at it all day and when no one is looking I sneak inside.

3 more days to our first trip.

I drive past it to get out of my driveway every day.  We've already opened it up for the spring and got the beds made and the cabinets reloaded. Haven't de-winterized, but that isn't necessary for camping!   Now...just need the weather to realize it's SPRING...and I'm ready to GO!

I went out and took this rather sad portrait of the Taj MaHaul last week.

I am in my hybrid at least once per week. I think I am going to start the process of refilling with dry goods. Pick up something each week when we get groceries so we can be ready at a moments notice.

First scheduled outing is Mem weekend but I may try to get to Blackwoods in Acadia before that. They are usually open year round and ready for RVers in April. This year due to construction, they say they won't be open until May. I wonder if the construction opened the RV sites up like it did at Seawall CG? If I take a spin up, I'll report back.

Opened the door on it a few weeks ago on a nice day, breathed in the smells, now that cross country skiing is probably over, I want to camp! However, first trip isn't until Memorial Day. Oh well, there's always driveway camping!

I have been in my camper every day for the last few days. It has wamed up enough for me to re-connect my inverter and have my batteries take my bedroom back off the electric grid. I have been monitoring my solar setup to make sure I am not over discharging the batteries. I have 2 Group 27 batteries for 220AH capacity or 110AH I feel comfortable about using.

When the temps are too cold the battery capacity is only about 30-50% of normal. Right now I am only using about 20-22AH per night to power the bedroom televison and table lamps. Not a big savings but it is 7.2Kwh-7.9Kwh per month.

Picking mine back up from the dealer this Saturday, has been in for the lift recall and some other Warranty repairs since December.  I have drove to the dealer and looked at my pup from outside the fence twice this winter.  Miss it dearly :(
