Went into effect today, affects pretty much the whole state.

This impacts next week's planned camping trip!

I hope you are not canceling your trip due to the fire ban?  We will be camping in Maryland in 12 or 13 days.  I will end up cooking with charcoal instead of wood I guess.  Although when we go camping it will rain, so maybe they will left the ban.:)

Sorry Tracy,
Statutory Burn Ban means "No Charcoal" also. Propane grills only allowed.
We're camping next weekend and this seriously impacts my cooking plans too!

Thanks Cheryl. where are you camping?  In PA when they have a burning ban it means no open flames.  Charcoal is ony coals so they allow it.  Some of the counties where I live have burning bans too.  Too many people don't realize that burning when it is this dry and windy is not good.  I guess I will pack the portable propane grill for our Easter holiday or do without.:(

Hi Tracy,
Actually I looked at the calendar wrong, we are camping weekend after next up in Gettysburg, Pa. I'm assuming since we are so close that they will have the same concerns/bans for open fires. I'm hoping we get some more rain next week so this won't be a problem!
Happy camping,
Cheryl
