Spring maintenance for the PU

I spent the day cleaning and prepping my PU for the 2006 camping season.  Here is what I did today.
 
Held the fire extinguishers upside down and hit the bottom of them with a rubber mallet.  This helps loosen the chemical in the extinguishers that has settled over the last camping season.
 
Lube the lift cables and pulleys with silicone spray.
 
Lube the zippers with zipper lube.
 
Vacuumed the PU (actually did that last night), including the inside edges of the tenting.
 
Stripped the floor and applied 2 coats of Future floor finish.
 
Cleaned the surfaces of all of the cupboards with Protect All.
 
Polished the metal rail of the campers box with Adam's Aluminum polish.
 
Cleaned and conditioned the outside vinyl on the PU with 303's vinyl top cleaner and protectent.
 
Cleaned the windows with Plexus plastic polish.
 
Sorted through the 2 dinette seats and cleaned the floor in them.
 
Reinstalled 2 screws in the bottom of the power inverter that had come loose.
 
Wiped the power cord with a rag sprayed with silicone spray.
 
Lubed the bed slides with white lithium grease spray.
 
Lubed the stabilizing jacks with white lithium grease stray.
 
I feel like I did more than this.:eyecrazy:

But, I thought this thread was about maintaining your suspension springs?  :confused:

My PU squeeks and squawks when I roll slowly into a campground.

Also, I have heard that silicone spray is the preferred bed-slide lubricant, grease collects dirt?

I also use silicone spray on the bed slides, pulleys and cables, too.

What did you use to strip the floor?  I was just wondering about this and saw your thread (which I am printing out btw).

1.  wash the windows

2.  clean out the cabinets

3.  lube the doors

4.  wash the kitchen floor

5.  polish the silver

The first thing I do when prepping the Pal for the summer camping season is to check the taillights and connections.(lousy winter weather/salt....):compumad:

What did you use to strip the floor? I was just wondering about this and saw your thread (which I am printing out btw).

I use Future on the floor and in its directions it says to mix ammonia with Armstrong floor cleaner at least once a year to strip them.  So I do it every spring.

Hi Tracy,
            I loved your list and I think everybody else did too. But I couldn't find the Plexus plastic polish. I thought I had heard about it before but I haven't had much luck finding it.
 I've been trying to put some work into my canvas. I had some mildew stains on it from a previous owner. I was going to buy a new bunk end and one of the side panels but Canvas Replacements recommended a product called Ioso mold and mildew cleaner it worked great. I had to soak one of the panels for a while. When it dryed it left a residue on the plastic windows. I haven't finished cleaning yet and was hoping the Plexus plastic polish would help. What kind of store do you buy it in down there. I've tried Home Depot and some speciality Auto stores no luck.
 I'm looking forward to the Rally and meeting everyone!!
