Harriburgcampers

Greetind COTOC,
 :D
My Name is Rob.. While exploring through POP-up time i discovered your camping club. My family love to go camping in our Fleetwood pop up camper 5 to 6 time a year..  We usually camp in the south central Pa...at Pine grove furnace, Drummerboy, lake in the woods and  a few others, we mostly stick to state parks with them being cheaper...We thought it would be fun to go with a group like yours who injoy camping and the great outdoor likes us..We are thinking about going on one of the trips you have plan either in July or September, with all of our other weekend already full...with me only having every other weekend off....I mostly have every weekend planned with a camping trip i have off May thru Mid September...We usually do not camp  past September with the kids heading back to school. We like shaded site with our camper not having air conditioning. And the campground has to have swimming {pool or beach}...My kids love Swimming...We are thinking about going in Sept. Locust lake with it being closer to us..or maybe the one in killean Park in DE...I will have to discuss it with my wife...Hopefully they are not all booked up :( ....

Thanks Rob Z

Hi Rob,
We have also camped at Drummerboy, Lake-in-Wood, French Creek SP, Hickkory Run SP, and R.B. Winter SP. Our group has done Pine Grove but I keep missing those trips. We love having newcomers so feel free to join up with us at any time. BTW, how old are your kids?

Hello Everyone  :) ,
My family and I are thing about coming to the Killens Pond or the Locust lake campground...Locast lake is closer but as of now I do not have that weekend off....Killens pond weekend i Do have off but that is further for Us..Do they have electric site at Killens lake is? IS the road paved for my kids to ride there bikes...I have a 9 and 7 year old and the 7 year old just learnd to ride with out training wheel...so that an important question :D ...Plus is there any other campground that you are visiting besides the ones that are posted it seems that I have to work a lot of those weekends...We are going camping at drummer boy on June 8 thru 11....And lake in the Woods on July 6 thru 9....Both campgrounds are great.... :-() Any feed back would be great for Killens lake as of now that one might be the one we go to....

   Thanks again...Rob and Family :D

Welcome Rob,
Well, I have 3 kids, 1 boy age 8, a daughter 6-1/2 and another daughter almost 1-1/2.  I use to got to lake in woods alot myself as my parents had a site there for years, but that has been awhile.  I try to do as much camping in Pa as they seem to have some great SP.  Well, look forward to seeing you around and welcome aboard.

I think the road on the loops are gravel. Young uns were taking the bikes on the trails by the lake when I was there about 3 years ago.  The main road in is paved that I remember well.  My son had his bike with him that time.

The water park is on the other side of the lake, it is a good hike over there.  If biking through the trails (if allowed) it brings you to the boat ramp and the bridge that crosses over where the lake ends and the river picks back up, you can seee the canoe rentals so the water park is not too far...but unless you all are into excersize, I would drive, the dash paper lets you into the other side, otherwise there is a charge for cars.
