Hi I am looking for a light weight pop up to pull behind my Toyota Corolla for one person.

(1)
I received this information from Viking - ". The single bunk trailers were limited editions built in December 2004 and January 2005.  The Viking version is the 1204LS and the Coachmen Clipper version is the
074LS.  It is a single bed unit with an end dinette and picture window.
The slide out bunk is a full bed and the dinette converts into a bed to
allow sleeping for 4.  The unit is designed to provide sleeping and basic storage. It is not equipped with a furnace or refrigerator.
Because of its size and simplicity the 1204LS only weighs 1000 lbs, which can be handled by most vehicles."  - I have had difficulty finding these on the Internet but am glad that I have their identification and will keep looking.

(2)
A person on this list said they had a friend with a Starcraft with one bunk but I have not been able to identify this.

(3) I have looked at Lees-ure Lite and Kamparoo which are certainly light enough.  Kamparoo is twice the price.  Should I assume the quality is better.  I don't know since I camped for many years in a tent and always used full rain tarps because of leakage through window zippers and condensation on sides.  I imagine one has to use some kind of tarp over these as well.

Thank you, I appreciate your experience.  Bernadette

I don't see a single bunk popup in this year's Starcraft line-up; but that was my first attraction (or should I say idea), that I had when I bought back in 2000. At the time it was called  a "Meteor" and later  models were given a model number, like "1404", rather than a name. But when looking the Meteor over at the time I quickly saw that the same box size and interior layout on another model, theMeteorite, which had a bunk on each end - was roomier with the extra bunk end  and very little difference in weight between the two models. The single bunk end model base weight was 1229 lbs and the double end model was 1270 lbs. - for me, I quickly opted for the double end model.

Tossing in this information only to point out the fact that the single bunk models (Starcraft at least) may not be all that weight saving.
