Maybe this is the way it is on all pop-ups, but since I am new to it, I don't know.

We "thought" we were putting the door on correctly, but I always suspected something was fishy. Yesterday evening I got the book and was reading and saw what it said to do to the door.

I was letting the door down from the ceiling and putting the black slabs in the bottom door, then hooking it. The door worked fine. However, near the roof of the camper there were these 2 knobs to turn. I couldn't figure out why they were there. The book says you also then push the top part of the door inward towards the side then use the knobs to keep it in place. I did this and it worked, but with problems.

It was VERY VERY hard to get it to work. It was really tight. Almost as though my top wasn't raised enough. The green cord is tight, though. Even when putting the door back up and releasing the top part of the door, this pressure seems like it will damage the door. The other thing is the right screw is loose and keeps coming out.

I am thinking it may be better to keep doing what we were doing. The only problem doing it my way (partially done) was the velcro piece will not cover the door at the top (because it is slanted in). It doesn't bother me though. I just wonder WHY the door is doing this.. and whether it matters or not.

Currently where it is sitting it is level front to back but not side to side. I am moving it to the side of my house to be level, so I will check again.

I thought about the level piece, but I thought that was for the door to open and shut properly. I can see if the front to back isn't level it could cause problems with the door installation, but that part is level.

Not sure how the side to side could affect it unless the door side is lower, but in my case the door side is higher than the other side. But hey, stranger things have happened, so I will test to make sure.

The camper needs to be very level side to side to have the door fit without a problem.  When it is level you will see the difference.:)
