12 AMP problem

My 2001 Palomino Mustang 12 AMP system has stopped working after winter storage and the installation of the 3-stage 12 amp converter from bestconverter.com.  I don't have any interior lights and the CO detector won't work.  Everything else works fine off shore power including my outlets and frig.  I've checked every fuse I can find.  I checked with a local Palomino dealer who suggested I look at the switch on the counter top under the sink.  Apparently the swtich prevents the lights from being left on with the roof cranked down.  Anyone have anything similar occur or have any other suggestions?

Not sure of your specific problem, but we went out one evening for dinner while at a campground in April, came back and it was dark. Turned on the light switch and nothing happened. I started freaking out because we had just bought our popup. I was even hooked up to electricity. I couldn't figure it out. We reset everything and still nothing. Then I leaned over on the galley and the light flickered. The galley wasn't sitting on the switch heavy enough!!!!!!!!!

I had that exact same scenario this weekend. I folded a paper towel and put it on the switch (to take up the gap). That solved it for me .

That would explain the lights not working as that's what the galley switch is for. ZTO keep the lights from coming on with the roof closed, but it doesn't explain the propane detector which by law has to be wired directly to the battery and should be on as long as the battery or shore power is connected.It's time to get out the trusty multimeter and start checking for voltages. Sooner or later you'll find a stretch that it dissapears and will localize your problem.

Thanks for all your input.  I'll give it a try checking with a meter although that's starting to stretch my abilities.  I may just end up letting the dealer look at it.

I had a similar situation last weekend.  The culprit was a faulty detector.  I replaced it for $40.00 and everything is as good as new.  

You might was to check that by taking it out and testing that first.

Did the faulty detector stop the interior lights stop working too?

That is correct.  There was an in line fuse attached to the wiring behind the monoxide detector.  The fuse blew and somehow caused the detector to go bad and nothing would work.  You might want to check and see if yours has the inline fuse.
