I've just acquired a 1986 Palomino MXL.  I guess that is basically the Mustang XL.  The trailer is practically perfect, but is missing the poles that support the slide out beds.  I was told that I can make them, and I know I can do it, but I was wondering if anyone can post a picture of theirs.  The poles for the MXL are flat on one end and then bend down at around a 40 or 45 degree angle and the opposite end just attaches to the bumper.  I think alot of different manufacturers have used this type of support pole, so if anyone that has a style similar to this can post a picture of the pole, it would be greatly appreciated.

We have an 87 Palomino that I just had to make a support pole for the outside stove, same as Bed support only shorter. I used 3/4" conduit, measured, cut, then used my vice to close one end up to make it flat then bent the angle into it. I am traveling this week and will not be home until Friday night. If you still need a pic then I will be glad to send it. It took about 5 minutes to make. A 10' section of conduit was about $3.85 at Home Depot. Hope this helps.

It actually helps tremendously.  Thank you very much.  I found myself with a little free time, so I did go and buy some 3/4 inch conduit, and made the poles in exactly the same manner you described.  They've all turned out beautifully.

Thanks again for your help.  Have a good trip.
