Hi All

Have been browsing these and other forums for a few weeks, crunching numbers (both dollars and weight limits) and doing research until my head is spinning and I'm totally confused!  But the good news is after all this research, I'm down to 4 models that fit what we're looking for, and that I think we can tow safely with our Odyssey (1900-2300 dry weights for the PU's).

So my question is... two of the models we're looking at are new, but 2005 models.  The dealer starts with list price.  Any "rule of thumb" on a percentage they should come down off list since it's already a prior model year?  I'm guessing 10% or so?  That's before I try to go for a 20%-30% discount from list as part of a standard negotiation...

Any advice would be appreciated... thanks!

Burt, Welcome to PUT.Try going to RVTRADER
and plug in your area to get an idea of what PU's are going for in your area. You then have a base price to start with on your negotiation with the dealer. But I would think you should be able to get a better price on a 05 model.
Good luck ;)
