I have seen used ones at several of the RV dealers parts depts I frequent.

If you haven't tried this- ask the RV SERVICE dept if they know of any used A/Cs available.  They may refer you back into the parts dept, but might not.  The reason I am telling you to talk with the service dept FIRST, is because sometimes they hold out used units for cheap repairs on used RVs for sale.

A lot of times they will strip out A/Cs, refrigerators, hot water heaters, furnaces out of trashed units, wrecked, or otherwise unsellable units.

Dealers sometimes get stuck with non-working appliances that aren't checked over too carefully on trade-in, and guess what they replace those non-working appliances with...??

That is a fantastic idea!!  I will jump right on that.  Thanks for the great information.
