Help with hole!

I had an existing hole in my canvas that the patch I think was in worse condition than the hole itself soooo I figured I would repatch. Well that's what i get for figuring..lol. I have tried spray adhesive to hold the new patch in place and the next morning (very high humidity that nite) the patch just popped right off. I was hoping the adhesive would hold good enough so I could get some stitches in it but didn't happen. Any suggestions? I think i attached a pic of the hole. Paweasee help me..lol

With some help from a fellow forum I was referred to a product made by 3M. It seems to be holding pretty well for the time being. Posting some before and after photos.

Woohoo!  I'll check that out as we've got a similar situation with the camper we just purchased.  I posted a similar question and we've had decent luck with Goop and hand stitching a canvas patch over one hole.

This might be helpful for the "big one", though.
