Water pump problem

Does anyone know how to resolve a rattling water pump? We just picked up our new 07 Starcraft and set it up in the driveway. I do not remember hearing the noise from the water pump during the demo at the dealer (although it was very noisy outside).

Anyway the water pump makes quite a noise whenever it engages. I drained the fresh water tank, refilled, and tried again with no success.

Congratulations on your new camper!  This is a fairly common problem.  You can try unscrewing it from where it is attached and putting a piece of rubber under the water pump, then reattaching it.  Also check to see if the water lines are vibrating.  If they are you can add clips to hold the water lines in place so they don't vibrate.  Some people have opted to purchase a Whisper King water pump.  Good luck on quieting the pump.

Congrats on your new pup.  We got our ayside 4 months ago and it had the noisy water pump. Once you hear that Whisper King pump your's will seem even louder.  The noise from that pump drives my dog crazy.  We are replacing the pump and installing an accumulator tank.  Should be pretty quiet now.

I have heard of people mounting the pump on chunk of insulating foam, also.

Dealer has my PU and making repairs to AC and hoping they can find a problem and fix the water pump. I pick up camper tomorrow morning.

I thought a new PU would have a quieter pump than that. I think this pump will wake the neighbors when camping. I will see what happens tomorrow and try to convince them to quiet or replace.
