We have an 05 Fleetwood Yuma. Manual says we should not change a flat but hate to get caught in the middle of nowhere at night with a flat. Any suggesstions on how to do this.
Thanks :eyecrazy:

A bottle jack is useful, because the frame of the PU can sit very low when the tire is flat.  You want to block the other tire so that the camper can't more.  Loosen the lug nuts on the flat tire.  Put the bottle jack under the main frame of the camper as close to the axel as possible.  Jack the tire up, remove the flat tire, put the spare on and tighten the lug nuts.  After the  tire is back on the ground torque the lug nuts.  Check the torque of the lug nuts after 30 to 50 miles.  If any are loose check it again at about 50 miles.  Keep checking the torque until the lug nuts stay tight.:)

Really don't understand those instructions either!

Even though I have AAA with the RV option that would mean I could call and someone might eventually find me, I've had a couple of flats out in the middle of nowhere and thought it prudent to change my own tires!

Like already posted, make sure you jack up using the camper's main frame and not the axle or any component like the springs. And make sure you have a lug wrench that fits the camper wheel ... they have been known to be different!
