Bought my first pop up today....a 2001 Coleman Taos.

The camper did not have a battery (but has a battery box) more on this later.

The camper also did not have the LP tank.  The connections are there but the mount is not.  Can someone tell me how to mount the tank and what holds it down?

I have the vinyl cover for the tank but no mount.

HELP!!!!!

RV dealers that sell popups usually have the propane tank hold down bolts in stock. They are 5/16"in diameter with a wing nut and washer  on the end. I once made a pair of them using 3/8" threaded rod.....

I too did as Old Goat did. I had some all thread laying around the garage and bent hooks in one end and just bent to shape then cut and bolted to crossmember on tongue of trailer. I had searched and searched for one here in Oklahoma and never found a mount for a single bottle. So I started looking around and got this idea. I was using a ratchet strap but DW once again said *That looks redneck* so shortly there after came the all thread and that's where I am today.

Well I finally got the camper home today and gave it a complete cleanup.  Found the J-hooks in one of the storage compartments.

THanks guys!
