removing curtains and termites????

I just tried to remove the curtains in my camper. I took off the little tab with the screw on it, but the rail is so close to the side of the camper that I can't get the curtains off. Is there another way?
Also, I am finding a white "dust" on the bed, curtains and in the light cover. The light cover was full. Could this possibly be termites??? I'm going to do a bug bomb to make sure, but wandered if anyone else has had this problem.
thanks, Doreen

Doreen,

Don't know if yours is the same but I had a small hole in my roof, previous owner had a bump with the crank, and it appeared the roof was filled with what looked like styrofoam "stuff".  I also found it inside on of my light covers when I was cleaning....

Could be the same stuff......dunno?

It seems to have a sparkle to it. Some type of stuff out of the roof, but wondering why it is coming out. I just read in the online manual that bug sprays lessen the waterproofness of the canvas. I still think I'd feel better if I set off a bug bomb at least once before I sleep in it. No telling what kind of critters are living in there!

I would not use a bug bomb in the PU.  You could ruin the tenting material.  Do you see any bugs?  If not I would do a thorough cleaning of the trailer and let the sun shine on the mattresses and cushions (take them out into the sun).:)

That does appear to be Styrofoam to me. It looks like you may have a leak in the roof and the water may be washing Styrofoam out from the core and into the lamp cover.

It's definitely not termites. Termite droppings look like tiny, dark brown, coffee grounds. You would also see little termite wings lying around.

Wondering if that light cover does not have the remains of some other kind of flying insects, maybe like no-see-ums. Mine looked kinda like that after about three years!. I'd see all these insect carcass lying at the bottom of the light fixture when I turned the lights on ... promise myself to clean out the mess the next morning only to forget all about it. Anyway, when I did, looked very simular to your posted pix.
