Okay.  I finally caught my breath and was able to call to reserve my extra nights.  We are coming Th-Mon.  I also reserved the extra site for Sunday night.  

Oh, I love when I can check things off my list!

It is $37.40/night....times two...plus $10.20 to have the extra site for potluck/campfire.  So, I need a check for $85.00 from all of you.  Please PM me, and I will send you my address.  I need the checks by the first of March.  Thanks.  

So, the $85 is for Fri and Sat nights.  You have to call Newport Dunes yourself to reserve Thurs, Sun, and Mon nights.  They allow the group rate for 2 days before the rally, and 2 days after.  Just call 800-765-7661, tell them you are with Sccampers and give them your site number.

We still need to bounce ideas for what we want to do for Easter Dinner....

The campground starts doing Easter activities on Friday at 2 pm.  I plan to get there right at check-in, so I can get my girls over for the activities

I was looking at the activities for the weekend. Are they supplying things to decorate the bikes or are we to bring them? Ashlee will not be riding her bike but will be bringing a scooter instead.  I was thinking maybe if they aren't supplying things we could all bring something to share so the kids could decorate their bikes or scooters (plastic eggs, colored streamers, etc)

It's almost time for our newport adventure.....can hardly wait!  hey, do we have any kind of agenda for the weekend?  Pot luck theme/time, easter egg hunt, saturday breakfast.....etc.

The RV park has lots of activities going on. I think we should skip the Saturday
morning Potluck as they have a giant easter egg hunt (open to the public)
Saturday nite we have our traditional Potluck and then Sun nite I'm throwing DH a B-day party and making Carne asada, beans, rice and all the fixin's.

All is hectic....report cards are due this week....and I have to do parent conferences.  Ugh!  

What Dee said is correct.....Saturday night potluck....Sunday night--Dan's b-day party.  

I did call and ask about the Sunday Champagne Brunch....very expensive.  It is $36 for age 11 and up.  $14 for age 5-10.  $7 for age 2-4.  So, we will be passing on that brunch.  :-)  

The activity director won't be in until Wednesday....I left him a message about needing decorations for the bike parade.  I am thinking they are providing those...but I want to confirm.

What we need to figure out is if we want to do a little hunt in the morning for the kids on Sunday?  We could all bring like a dozen filled eggs per each of our darlings.....and the kids could have a 12 egg limit on the hunt around our trailers/sites.  Do we want to do this....or is the Saturday hunt enough?  

Also, who all is up for going to church that morning?  Our little church moved back to the home church....we now go somewhere nowhere close to Newport.  I was going to check out the times for Mariner's Church (non-denominational)...for those interested....it's down the street from Newport Dunes....about 5 miles. Their schedule is:

Good Friday Services:  Noon, 3, 4:30, 6, 7:30
Easter Services:  Saturday at 4 and 6
                        Sunday at 8:30, 10, and 11:30

***We may hit the the 3:00 on Good Friday....and the 8:30 on Sunday morning.  

We want to do the bike parade on Sunday.  But, then we may need to cut out to Manhattan Beach for a few hours.  My mom is hosting Easter at her house for my sister and her family....and for my grandma.  I was trying to get out of going.....but I was reminded my grandma is 94....it could be her last Easter....she wants to watch my girls do an egg hunt....my grandma is awesome.....she is going to be around for many more Easters---but, in case I am wrong about her health---I think we need to show up.  We might be a little late for Dan's party......

ooh it looks like they have fun stuff going on Thurs too...I was going to pick Kara up at 2:40 when she got out of school but the bad fun mommy says maybe we can miss a little more school... what the hay :U ...so not sure on my Thus arrival time yet. would be 3:30 at the latest.

as far as the egg hunt, if everyone wants too  we could. I've actually bought some plastic egss and stuff to fill them. I was thinking about putting them out in everyones campsite before I went to bed so when the kids wake-up they can see the Easter bunny came. maybe everyone can do a dozen and the fish squad can hide them.. if we don't put them on the ground they should be ok.

brunch on Sun. is out for us too. Kara doesn't even eat $3.00 worth of food let alone $14

Sunday Kevin's plane lands at 10am in Long Beach so I have to go pick him up. (he wants mom to do it   )Maybe I can give someone my camera (or someone remind Dan) to get Kara's picture with the Easter bunny.  

in the afternoon sometime after the bike parade I'm going to send Dan to the pool with the kids and we're going to decorate the potluck site.  Brian and Kristi said they would do the costco run for the cake and Brian said he would cook the Carne asada.
 I'm bringing all the food for dinner you just need to bring plates etc. and I may enlist some help to get the stuff prepared and setup.
the last time I spoke with DK&3kids they were going to come for the day for the B-day party. :-()

BTW just in case you didn't know...Dan knows NOTHING about this so please do not send me any e-mails he reads those.
