HEY!!  lol

  I just ran across this site and wanted to drop in.  I have a 84 jayco "J" series 1008.  I picked it up a month ago and have been spending time getting it back in shape.  You know,  Paint the frame, replace the wiring harness and lights, clean clean clean!  It's in real good shape to start with.  The previous owner had just replace the tenting, tires and hubs.  It appears that the inner seals on the hubs are bad (grease in the rim).

  I'm taking my kids out in it for their "first" camping trip.  That's the reason I bought it in the first place.  I've been pup camping since I was 13 (now 39).  I have a jeep that I go to other places to ride so, I wanted to also take the pup and get off the ground for a change.

  In the future, I want to gut the inside and redo the cabinets and walls.  I've also got a few small roof issues to correct (seal and wood on the ends).

  I'll try to keep up!

Welcome, sounds like you have a good plan. Camping with kids is the greatest.
