We got a Coleman folding rocking chair with our camper.  We've never used it, either we're not setting it up right or something ... it's very uncomfortable for all of us.  I'm putting it in my yard sale but don't know how much ($) to put on it.  Maybe $5?  Sound reasonable?

Thanks in advance!

When having a yard sale, always add a little to the  price you want for your goods so you can lower the price a little if needed in order to sell to an interested but hesitating buyer..People go to yard sales looking for bargains and lowering the price a little usually helps them find'em......

Price your unused chair at half the cost of a new one plus a dollar or two. You can always come down lower if needed.. Wife and I have several yard sales a year selling stuff we have collected from antique and junk shops in our camping travels. This pricing system works very well for us........

Really the question is are you trying to make money off it or just trying to get rid of it?  If you're trying to make money, price it based on what you paid for it.  If you're trying to get rid of it, price it such that someone who probably doesn't know what it is (brand, original cost, etc) will pay for it.

You could price it at say $5 and get rid of it this weekend, or you could price it at $10 and maybe have to store it until next year.

This would have been a perfect "Campfire" question...

Surprisingly, the chair was one of the first thigns to sell this morning.  Our realtor's husband bought it!

Sale was a big success, but my co-host and I made about $200.  Glad it's over!
