Does anyone have any opinions on either of these two models?

I like the looks of both of these (again from what I've seen online anyway). The 2516G has toilet/shower combo while the 2514G has only porta-potti but what looks to be alot more cabinet and counter space.

Thanks in advance for any opinions!

This summer we purchased a Rockwood by Forest River camper model HW2518G, and we love it, HOWEVER.

some of the down falls......
loading the fridg before you leave for a trip.
You can't start the fridge, or load it with out putting it up.

I am not sure of those two models, but with ours, the way the 2 LP tanks are mounted in front on the A frame you cant put a Weight Distribution hitch on if needed. there is a metal plate that they sit on that spans across the a frame which blocks the frame for teh WD hitch to clamp on.
You can....but you need to modify the front of the camer to do so.

but really if it wasnt for those two thing, I would have no problems with it.
it pulls really nice and there is plent of storage.
I think if you wont be bothered by either of those two things, you will love it.

Happy Camping,

Hey Greg,
I've got the same trailer and I agree about the fridge.  Its a pain.  Other than that I love it!

I did the mods to the front end so I could use WD.  It is a heavy trailer and my Explorer needed it.  I added a strip of steel further back to support the propane tanks.  Then a  guy at Rockwood sent me a diagram where to cut notches in the plate to attache the WD brackets.  Took less than an hour to do.
