Making the move (up?)

Well, though I'm not a "top poster" on here, I have been watching and reading all summer.  We bought a used 1994 Starcraft Stardust 1021 earlier this year and hitched it up to our newly hitch-ready Odyssey.

Took 6 or 7 weekend trips this summer so far, and decided that the only problem we had was the time it takes to setup. This is especially problematic with the 2 year old. Secondarily, there was the problem taht we had to setup the thing to do anything inside or get anything in or out. This made teardown take a lot longer too as we decided what needed to be in the TV vs in the camper.

So, we have purchased an Amerilite Cub 160 hybrid. Have to wait for the dealer to do some repairs before we can pick it up.  Size was everything, we have no space to store it and a hill of a drive way to a narrow, crowned city street, so a longer trailer would not be a pretty sight getting it in and out of the driveway.

We have also jsut bought a 97 GMC Yukon since we had no desire to drag that thing with the Odyssey!

It's got 122k on it, so we're having it checked out, of course.

Our first trip with it will likely be from home near Indy to St Louis at the end of the month (Sept).

Oh yeah, it already had the hitch and brake controller hooked up, so that's a nice touch.

I'll ramble to an end here, and if anyone is interested in a pup in the Indianapolis area, hit me up! We have it on eBay now.

Wish us luck!

Congratulations on your new HTT!  I am sure you will love it and the ease of set up.  Your trip to St Louis will bring you within about 50 miles of us.  Let us know how you like it and all about your trip.

Well, for those who care, the pup is gone.  Kind of a sad event, really, even though we only had it a since May! Had to rework the wiring connectors due to a problem between the trailer and the buyer's truck.  Nothing like pulling apart the connectors in the driveway, at night, in the rain.

But, it's together and they're on the way home with it and we've got space for the new (used) HTT!

You can tell we're excited, and thanks for putting up with the postings!
